Places

One topic that shouldn't be neglected when developing profiles/characters for stories is a place, such as a house, an office, a condo, business, etc. Keep in mine what type of place it is and remember that some objects won't fit into the scheme, such as an erotic painting inside a preacher's study or a child's bedroom.

If you're working on a profile of a character's home, try to show some of the character's personality that you can't write into a story. Does he have a devotion to...say John Wayne? Have a poster framed. Does your character collect things? Mention them in the description.

What better way to add depth to a character by writing it into his/her surroundings!
